Dads Reading Daily with Devotion

Dads Reading Daily with Devotion (DRD) is a Center for Literacy program dedicated to developing literacy leadership and lifelong learning for fathers of children in Head Start and Child Care programs. DRD is committed to working with Head Start sites to make their programs more father friendly.  Our staff offers a series of family literacy workshops specifically designed to engage fathers in supporting their children’s early literacy development. The team also partners with Head Start programs to develop mini conferences and gatherings for men where fathers discuss ideas and consider how to have a stronger presence in their children's lives. Both the workshop series and the mini conferences incorporate family literacy strategies that encourage fathers to be actively engaged in their children's education and better prepared to support their children's early literary development.
