Refund Policy

Starting in Spring 2011, students who officially withdraw from the University by the end of the online drop and add period for a term will receive a full refund of tuition and fees. After the online drop and add period ends, students who officially withdraw from the University (by dropping all classes) will receive a pro rata refund based upon the official date of withdrawal. See Refund Schedule. Assessed tuition, Service and General fees are refunded on a pro rata basis. The Health Service and Health Insurance fees are nonrefundable.

Before a refund is made to you, the University must make a refund to appropriate financial aid programs providing assistance to you. If you are indebted to the University at the time of withdrawal, you will have the amount owed deducted from the amount of any refund available.

Please note that, based on the date of withdrawal and the type of aid awarded, students may not be able to retain their financial aid. Please contact Student Financial Aid for further information.

Refunds for withdrawal from the University will be prorated based on the official date of withdrawal and the total number of hours enrolled on that date.

Note: After the online drop and add period, refund amounts do not include the NON-REFUNDABLE FEES. The Health Service and the Student Health Insurance fees are not refunded so that students can continue to be covered and eligible to receive these fee-related services. The Transportation Fee is not refunded after the second Friday of fall and Spring (first Friday of summer.)
