University of Illinois at Chicago and University of Illinois Alumni Association invites you to join us on Feb. 18, 2009, in a historical bicentennial celebration of Abraham Lincoln featuring keynote lecturer and distinguished UIC Alumnus Ellis Cose. Mr. Cose will discuss Lincoln’s Presidential legacy and his impact on today’s political climate.

Ellis Cose is contributing editor for Newsweek and former chairman of the editorial board of the New York Daily News. He is the author of several books including Killing Affirmative Action, Bone to Pick: On Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Reparation and Revenge, Beyond Brown v. Board: The Final Battle for Excellence in American Education, The Envy of the World: On Being a Black Man in America, and several others.

Complimentary parking is available at UIC Parking Lot 5 located at 1135 S. Morgan Street, one block west of the UIC Forum.
